Virtual Classroom

Program Highlights:

Internet broadcasting of classes happening in a school to Ten other schools. Coach 9th and 10th grade students in Mathematics, Science and English.

Beneficiaries:

  • 1,800+ students across ten Govt. schools in 2015-2016
  • 3,600+ students across twenty four Govt. schools in 2016-2017
  • 6,300+ students across fifty two Govt. schools in 2017-2018
  • 8,100+ students across sixty four Govt. schools in 2018-2019
  • 9,400+ students across fifty nine Govt. schools in 2019-2020
  • 10,500+ students across fifty nine Govt. schools in 2020-2021
  • 27,466+ students across one hundred ninety five Govt. schools in 2021-2022

    Cluster 1

    The following Govt. schools are connected through the VC I with support of MANIPAL FOUNDATION.


    Nurtured as a dream project of Mr.Balachandran Warrier (Ex CEO, Manipal Foundation), Virtual classroom took roots when Mahamaya Foundation pursued it actively. Internet broadcasting of classes happening in a studio school to other beneficiary schools. Mathematics, Science and English subject coaching for 9th and 10th grade students.


    The first cluster started in the month of August 2014,at Govt. Girl’s High School, Udupi as Studio and 3 other schools.
    (i) Govt. Composite High School, Volakadu
    (ii) GPUC,High School Section Bramhavara
    (iii) GPUC, High School Section Hiriadka as receiving schools.
    Further on request several schools were added to the studio as receiving schools and are beneficiaries of this program till date.

    Cluster 2

    The second cluster for English medium started in the month of November 2014, at Indrali English Medium High School, Indrali and Perdoor High School, Perdoor as receiving school.


    The studio is shifted to Volakadu Composite high school with addition of nine more school in year 2018.

    The third cluster Kannada medium started in the month of July 2019, at Govt. High School Brahmavara,


    Cluster 4

    The fourth cluster Kannada medium started in the month of September 2016, at Govt. Girl’s High School, Udupi as Studio and 3 other schools; Govt. High School, Rajeeva Nagar, Govt. PU College, Kundapura, Govt. High School, Kanakapura. Govt. Girl’s High School, Udupi Govt. High School, Rajeeva Nagar, Udupi Govt. PU College ,Kundapura ,Govt. High School, Kanakapura.

    The fifth cluster Kannada medium started in the month of September 2016, at Govt. High School Volakadu,

    The seventh cluster Kannada medium started in the month of October 2018, at Sundar Puranik Memorial Govt. High School,Pervaje


    Cluster 8

    The eighth cluster English medium started in the month of October 2018, at Manipal Independent Studio


    Spoken English

    Spoken English class was started at October 2018.
    Spoken English helps us in all facets of our lives whether it's to conversate with someone or express ourselves. These could be in a personal or professional setting.
